1. What is the ICF Nordic‑Baltic Coaching Award?
A regional award celebrating excellence and impact in professional coaching across the Nordic‑Baltic region. The award is recognizing coaches and organizations with impactful coaching. There is no fee to apply.
2. Who can apply?
Individual coaches and organizations, and social impact initiatives operating in the Nordic‑Baltic region, in line with the official eligibility criteria (credentialed ACC, PCC, MCC and members of the local chapters). Organizations can be large organizations and SME companies from public and private sectors.
3. What categories can I apply for?
The award has one category for all. Nominees can be many, and the final decision about the award, or several, is in the independent judges’ board’s hands.
4. Do I need to be an ICF member or credentialed coach?
You need to be an ICF credentialed coach to apply in the coaching category. If you are an organization, you need to have worked with an ICF credentialed coach from the Nordic-Baltgic region.
5. What kind of impact should be demonstrated?
Impact can be individual, organizational, or societal—such as leadership growth, cultural change, learning outcomes, business outcomes, wellbeing, or measurable social value through coaching. Impact may include individual or team development, leadership growth, cultural change, or business outcomes. Applicants are encouraged to provide concrete examples and, where possible, qualitative or quantitative evidence.
6. What does the application involve?
A written submission describing your coaching context, approach, outcomes, and key learnings. Supporting evidence or testimonials may be requested. Nominees will be asked more information if needed.
7. What are the benefits of applying?
Professional recognition, visibility across the Nordic‑Baltic coaching community, and the opportunity to showcase and reflect on your coaching impact. Also, learnings gathered while applying and writing about the project reflectively. Many applicants find the application process itself valuable for learning, reflection, and strengthening their coaching narrative—regardless of the outcome.
8. Does coaching need to be delivered by external coaches?
Not necessarily. Coaching programs may include external coaches, internal coaches, or a blended model, as long as professional standards are upheld.
9. Can subsidiaries or regional units apply?
Yes, if the coaching initiative is clearly implemented and managed within the Nordic-Baltic region.
10. Who evaluates the applications?
Applications are reviewed by an independent panel appointed by the ICF and evaluated against transparent evaluation criteria.
